Mozilla just shot themselves in the foot
A couple days back, I heard some people complaining about Firefox. I didn’t really think much of it.
Today, I read the new terms of service and and immediately stopped using Firefox. Personally, the only thing worse than having my data stolen is when the software doing it gets legal right to it as well. There is no reason to suddenly put a clause like that in the terms if you don’t want to train AI or something.
Some people are saying it’s okay if Firefox starts selling data because they need to make money. This is not acceptable. If Firefox needs to make money, they can do it in a way that doesn’t violate a promise they’ve been making since longer than I’ve been alive.
I’m using LibreWolf now. I’ll continue to use Thunderbird until a suitable alternative presents itself.
This is really sad.
